About Dr. Jack Homer
Dr. Jack Homer is a management consultant and expert in System Dynamics (SD) simulation modeling. His models assist organizations looking for a formal yet flexible approach to strategic planning and policy design.
In 1997, Dr. Homer received the Jay W. Forrester Award from the International SD Society (SDS) for best contribution to the field in the preceding five years (US Cocaine Epidemic). In 2008, as lead modeler of a 9-person team (CDC, Health Protection framework), he received the inaugural Applied Systems Thinking Prize of the ASysT Institute. In 2011, as lead modeler of an 8-person team (CDC-PRISM), he received the Applications Award from the SDS for best real world application of SD in the preceding ten years. In 2012, as one of 5 co-authors (CDC, Health Affairs 2011), he received AcademyHealth's 2012 award for Public Health Services Research Article of the Year. In 2023, as lead modeler of an 8-person team (ReThink Health), he again received the Applications Award from the SDS.
